How to restore radiance this Autumn and beyond

Stay hydrated

When the temperature drops, so does the amount of moisture content in the air, which can disrupt the hydration of your skin. Not only does this cause dryness, but it can also make fine lines more visible, and your skin tone appear dull. Switch your moisturiser for something richer – look for ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vegetable glycerines and ceramides. These ingredients are humectants (meaning they draw moisture into the skin). Spoiler alert: our Restoring Night Cream is the perfect choice – (and you can even use it as a day cream in colder weather). And, of course – don’t forget to drink plenty of water, too.

Exfoliate regularly

One of the main causes of dull skin is a build up of dead skin cells. As the colder weather bites, our cell turn over decreases, leading to rough, uneven texture. Our Daily Cleansing Balm, used with the Organic Cotton Cleansing Cloth provided gently sloughs away dead skin cells daily, leaving skin looking more radiant.

Introduce vitamin C

Vitamin C is renowned for restoring radiance. With its antioxidant properties, it helps to brighten the skin, fade dark spots and protect against environmental factors. Our Hydrating Face Serum combines a powerhouse formulation of plant oils, including vitamin C rich Rosehip seed oil, watermelon and passionfruit seed oil. Use daily, after cleansing and before moisturising.

Use SPF

It might not be Aperol spritz weather anymore, but UV rays are still present in the Autumn months and contribute to premature ageing and dullness. Use a broad-spectrum SPF (at least SPF30) every day – even when it’s cloudy!

Boost your diet

We all know ‘you are what you eat’ – to restore radiance, you’ll want to eat a diet of antioxidant, vitamin rich, healthy fat foods – think leafy greens, berries, nuts and fatty fish like salmon.

Invest in a humidifier

Central heating can cause the air in your home to become dry – which isn’t great news for your skin. Using a humidifier can help maintain the moisture levels, preventing your skin from drying out. Use in your bedroom or anywhere where you spend a lot of time. Your skin will thank you for it.

And that’s it – by making a few simple changes to your routine, you can keep that glow all Autumn long!
